I’m on vacation in the Dominican Republic this week at a friend’s villa.
It’s an interesting place because we are outside of a small town outside of Puerto Plata which is pretty small itself. There are cows everywhere and some even came onto the property because we left a gate open.
Never been so close to a cow before.
I also have found this to be the most relaxing vacation I’ve taken. It could be a lot of things but I think primarily it’s because of how much I’ve got to be thankful for back home.
Not only has my relationship with the family never been better, but my sense of self is fortified as well – by my writing and by my friends. But enough of that, I should get back to the beach.
